Panicing, please help

I have been trying to find Kodachrome to take on a once in a lifetime trip for the past few weeks. I put my pre-order in a while ago, and then thought I was good. Well, I leave this Tuesday, and I have no Kodachrome.

Usually I would never make a post like this, but right now I'm really really desperate.

Two rolls of Kodachrome and the fastest shipping to the Washington D.C. area you can give me, you name the price.

If I can buy a lens for an 8x10 camera in Singapore and get it 4 days later, I can get something from across the US in one day, right?

As it's the weekend, overnight mail won't go out until Monday. The postal service says from the west coast, something Express Mailed by 5 PM Monday will get to Bethesda by noon Tuesday. Where are you going? It could be Express Mailed to a Post Office in your destination city, where you could then pick it up. That way there's no sweat.

Another way to get it there: Some airlines have something called counter-to-counter service for small packages. The sender goes to the ticket counter, gives them the package and pertinent info (recipient's name, address, and phone#), and pays for it. I recently sent something to the East Coast using the service. It gets there the same day. It isn't cheap.
For example I used American Airlines. With them a package weighing up to a pound can go counter-to-counter. It cost $95.63, but it went out on the next flight and was available at the baggage claim office at the destination a half hour after the plane landed. I dropped it off at the American counter at the airport in Ontario, Calif., and it was in the other party's hand 8 hours later. I would suppose that it would be cheaper from a city nearby.

If you don't find any film from anyone else, PM me and we might be able to get it done by Express Mail. The cost would be my total cost for film and shipping, no premium, or what I would prefer would be to simply have it replaced when your film order arrives.

I took care of it. I am sending some to him express mail tommorrow and he will have it just in time.
