An update on the coming Ektachrome revival:

Kodak said Sept 11 on Facebook that only limited test marketing is expected in 2017, real availability in 2018. More here:

Better this than no news at all. But I shall not use up my E100G/GX/VS cache just yet. Does anyone see their freezer stored stocks deteriorating significantly? I would hope to keep using my cache for at least 5 more years.

Much to my surprise, my stash of Ektachrome has yet to be exhausted. As of this am, it stands at: 64 rolls of 35mm E100G (PB 01/14); 21 rolls of 35mm E100VS (1 roll PB 12/13, 20 rolls PB 01/14); and 13 propacks of 120 E100G (all PB 01/14). With winter immanent, Chinese New Year two months away, the Cherry Blossom Festival, Holi, and a host of other festivals here in the spring, the timing of the arrival of the new Ektachrome couldn' be better. I'm guessing that, 120 excepted, my existing Ektachrome stash should be completely drawn down by the end of April. Methinks the first roll of the new E100 will be run through either my NIB F3P (unopened as of this moment) or my F6...
