Hi gang, I am on my second week in Paris, this place was made for Kodachrome, utterly jaw dropping. It has been going really well, I brought 115 rolls of fresh KR-64 and have shot about 40. I shoot for no less than 8 hours a day and up to 16, the light, the whole thing is that incredible!
I am able so sign in new members but for some reason can not get to my messages, I am doing all of this from my iPhone, check out the blog for "iPhone-a-chrome" images. I have another week here, so glad too! Be well and get on your Kodachrome!

Regarding your question on apug:
You may want to try the kodak downloadable do not x-ray labels. I have been putting them on any film that gets mailed lately, after Ektagraphic introduced me to them.

In light of recent security issues in New York, I have decided to not ship the film as it seems a tad risky, better to look after it. I also might work closer to home like in Canada, Mexico or Alaska, somewhere a volcano is not spewing...:-)

Got back to my family's place in California, jet lag not too bad, only a 2.5 hour delay due to the ash cloud, long flight though, nearly as long as LA to Sydney. I will be home in Aspen tomorrow, then I install a 2nd vent in the roof of the camper and I am off again!
I have only had to have my film go through x-ray once thus far, all hand checked otherwise. Shot 76 rolls in Paris, the most ever in a two week period for me, all 64, no 25 due to it's age. Editing should be fun!

I was able to go CLT - LAX - BKK - SIN - CGK - UPG - SOQ
Then back SOQ - UPG - CGK - SIN - MUC - CLT with not one X-ray..... somehow my 60 rolls of Kodachrome were blessed for the 2 weeks in Indonesia for an awesome dive trip. The Germans gave me the most trouble, but when I said I had a 6 hour layover and that x-ray is cumulative and I would have had to go thorough 15 of them the relented and opened each plastic container. I got through 33 rolls underwater and 3 through a widelux. |
